Dive into the art of fabric stenciling with Duluth textile artist Kirsten Aune! Taking inspiration from Kirsten’s colorful, bold patterns and modern Scandinavian designs, students will play with color and pattern as they prepare simple stencils. Kirsten will walk students step by step through this process that she developed. Decorate fabric for a table runner, pillow cover, children’s apron, zippered pouch, or whatever comes to mind. Once you’ve learned the basics of fabric stenciling, you’ll be ready to decorate fabric for all kinds of projects!
No experience is necessary for this class. Open to ages 18 and up. Students should bring an apron to protect their clothing, a notebook, and lunch.
